Saint Louis University Athletic Training Program Director Anthony Breitbach PhD, ATC participated in the Collaborating Across Borders IV Conference in Vancouver, BC, Canada from June 12-14, 2013. This international symposium focused on interprofessional education and practice in health care. Dr. Breitbach and SLU IPE Director Irma Ruebling presented a poster: "Taking it to the Next Level: Utilizing an Interprofessional Course to Enhance the Teaching of Core Content to Health Professional Students." One of the highlights of the program was the keynote presented by Regina Holliday on the first day of the conference. Her powerful and personal journey brought tears, cheers and reflection from the delegates at the conference. She is an artist and patient rights advocate, she has founded "The Walking Gallery" to bring to light the importance of looking at injury and chronic sickness through the eyes of patients and their families.
